The Smartsupp Module connects the Smartsupp chat with Targito, allowing email addresses entered by visitors in the chat to be automatically saved in the contact database and immediately processed by the selected "New Contact" campaign (e.g. welcome flow, DOI, etc.).
How It Works
In the module settings, enter your Smartsupp Account ID. When the chat receives an email from a visitor, Targito creates a contact and passes it to the selected campaign as a "New Contact" for further processing (e.g., welcome email, consent confirmation). In the Column Mapping section, you can add default values for selected columns (e.g., source = “smartsupp”, consent = "yes") that will be applied when creating the contact.The module is enabled separately for each website (left panel → "Default Settings"), allowing you to choose a different campaign to trigger for each site.
How to Set It Up / Launch It
Requirements
- An active Smartsupp account and a working chat installed on your website.
- A prepared "New Contact" campaign in Targito (for a welcome/DOI flow).
Procedure in Targito
Go to Modules → Smartsupp.
- In the Smartsupp Account ID field, enter your account ID from Smartsupp.
- In the Campaign for new contact field, select the "New Contact" campaign that should process the newly collected emails.
- In the Column Mapping section → New Column:
- Column name: select a column in the CONTACTS table (e.g., source, consent_newsletter).
- Default value: enter the default value (e.g., smartsupp, true).
- Add as many mappings as you need.
- Click Save default settings.
- In the left panel, select the website and enable the module (toggle switch).
