Shopware is a popular German open-source e-commerce platform with a Marketplace where you can install the Smartsupp app. To install Smartsupp on a Shopware store, add the Smartsupp app from the Marketplace and configure it with your chat key.
This guide is divided into the following sections:
Install the Smartsupp app
Sign in to your Shopware admin and open Extensions → Store (or Marketplace). Search for Smartsupp in the store.
Open the Smartsupp app page and click Add to apps (or Install) to add it to your store.
Then activate the app under Extensions → My extensions.
Configure with your chat key
Open the Smartsupp app configuration in My extensions and locate the field for your Smartsupp key.
Paste your Smartsupp key into the field and Save. You can find your key in the Smartsupp dashboard → Settings → Chat box → Chat code.
Verify the installation
Open your Shopware store in a new browser tab and refresh the page. The Smartsupp chat widget should appear in the corner of your site. Then sign in to the Smartsupp dashboard to start chatting with visitors.
Tip: If the chat widget doesn't appear, clear your browser cache or open the site in an incognito window. Double-check that the Smartsupp app is activated and the chat key was saved correctly. Still nothing? See Why don't I see the chat on my website?
