ePages is a German e-commerce platform with an App Store that lets you install Smartsupp as a one-click plugin. This guide shows you how to install the Smartsupp app from the ePages App Store and connect it to your account — plus a fallback for manually inserting the chat code if the plugin doesn't work.

We've broken the guide into the following sections:


Heads up: The Smartsupp plugin for ePages is no longer actively maintained — on some ePages versions it may not work or may not work correctly. If you run into trouble, fall back to manual Smartsupp installation by pasting the chat code directly into your store template. Note also that visitor recordings aren't available on ePages; all other Smartsupp features (live chat, chatbots, dashboard) work normally.


Install the Smartsupp plugin

Log in to your ePages admin panel and go to the App Store. Search for Smartsupp, open the app's detail page, and click Install app. ePages will add the plugin to your store and confirm the installation.


Connect your Smartsupp account

Once installed, the plugin asks you to link a Smartsupp account. You can either create a free account directly from the plugin or connect an existing account by signing in with your Smartsupp credentials.

Verify the installation

Open your ePages store in a new browser tab and refresh the page. The Smartsupp chat widget should appear in the corner of your store. Log in to your Smartsupp dashboard to start chatting with visitors.

Tip: If the chat widget doesn't show up after installing the plugin, clear your browser cache or open your store in an incognito window. If the plugin doesn't apply the code at all, fall back to manual Smartsupp installation.
