The widget status switches between online and offline based on your agents' availability. To provide 24/7 support for your visitors, you can use the Mira AI chatbot — it can remain available even when your agents are offline.

Mira AI availability options

There are four options for setting when your Mira AI chatbot is available to visitors:

  • Same time as agents — Mira AI replies alongside your live agents whenever the widget is online.

  • Immediately available when agents are offline — Mira AI takes over the conversation the moment your live agents go offline.

  • Available with a delay — Mira AI activates after a delay based on your Welcome Message settings.

  • Available after the visitor's first message — Mira AI activates only when a visitor sends a message.

Note: The availability of these options also depends on the Office hours settings configured in your dashboard.


When is Mira AI available to visitors?

The widget status visitors see depends on the combination of your agents' availability and the Mira AI status setting:

How to change Mira AI status

  • Go to your Smartsupp dashboard and select the Mira AI tab (wand icon).

  • Choose the Mira AI chatbot you want to edit.

  • In the left-hand column, select Advanced settings.

  • Choose one of the four available options (for best results, we recommend the first option).

  • Save your changes and publish the Mira AI chatbot.

  • Review your Office hours settings to ensure they align with your availability preferences.

That's it! Your Mira AI chatbot is now ready to respond to visitor queries according to your preferences.
