Profile Settings

Gain insight into customizing your profile for an optimized user experience.

Want to personalize your account, change your email, or add a profile photo so customers know who they're talking to? You can do all of it in Profile settings — here's a tour.

We've broken the article into a few sections:

Find your Profile settings

You can open Profile settings in two ways. First, click the gear icon in the left sidebar and choose Profile:

Or click your profile picture and select Profile:

What you can change

In Profile settings you can update:

  • Your profile photo and name.

  • The email address used for notifications.

  • Your password.

  • The dashboard language.

  • Your position or motto, so visitors get to know you better.

  • Whether you receive news about Smartsupp.

Set up an e-mail signature

Each agent can set up their own e-mail signature that's added automatically to every email reply sent through Smartsupp. Open Profile settings, scroll to the E-mail signature section, write your signature in the editor, and click Save.

  • The editor supports rich-text formatting (bold, italic, underline, lists, links) and a live preview.

  • The signature is added automatically to every email reply.

  • You can still edit or remove it for an individual message.

  • Signatures are stored in your profile and applied across all connected mailboxes (see Email integration).

💡 Tip: If you work across multiple mailboxes or brands, keep your signature short and generic — for example just your name, role, and company.

Change your profile photo

In Profile settings, find the profile photo and upload the image you want to use as your avatar. You can zoom in or out to adjust how it's framed.

Recommended image

  • Minimum dimensions: 100×100 pixels.

  • Maximum file size: 1 MB.

  • Use a JPG file — avoid transparent PNGs, which can cause display issues.

Photo looks black or won't show?

  • 1. Save the image as a JPG (not a transparent PNG).

  • 2. Check it's at least 100×100 px and under 1 MB.

  • 3. Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then log in again.

  • 4. Try an incognito/private window or a different browser.

  • 5. Re-upload the image in Profile settings.

Change your email or password

Email address — type your new email into the field and click Save at the bottom of the page.

Password — click Change password, enter your current password, create a new one, and save.

Find your chat page link

Want to link someone straight to your chat — from an email or a mobile app? Use your chat page link. Go to Settings (1) → Integrations (2), find Chat page, and click Manage:

You'll see your chat page link, ready to copy and share:

You can also preview it from the Dashboard home icon (1) → Open Chat Page (2):
