You can share files with your visitors right in the chat. To keep everyone safe from viruses and harmful files, Smartsupp only allows certain file types and sizes. Here's what you can send.

Allowed file types
To protect you against viruses, harmful software, and other dangerous files, Smartsupp only allows these file types to be sent:
Documents: .doc, .docx, .pdf, .txt, .xml, .csv
Presentations: .ppt, .pptx, .pps, .ppsx, .key
Spreadsheets: .xls, .xlsx
Images: all common image formats (JPG, PNG, GIF, and more)
Video: .mp4, .mov
Maximum file size
Each attachment can be up to 20 MB.
💡 Need to send something bigger? Upload the file to Google Drive or Dropbox and send your customer the link in the chat.
Can visitors send files?
No — visitors currently can't upload files in the chat. File sharing works from your side: you can send files to visitors from the Dashboard or the mobile apps. If you need a picture from a visitor (a screenshot, for example), ask them to paste a link to the image into the chat instead.
