Install Smartsupp on Lightspeed by pasting the chat code into the Web Extras section in your admin.

Lightspeed is an all-in-one commerce platform for retail and e-commerce. To install Smartsupp on a Lightspeed eCom store, paste the Smartsupp chat code into the Web Extras (or Tracking codes) section in your Lightspeed admin.

This guide is divided into the following sections:


Open the code section in Lightspeed

Sign in to your Lightspeed admin and navigate to SettingsWeb Extras (in some setups labelled Tracking codes or Custom code). This is where you'll add the Smartsupp tracking code so it loads on every page of your store.


Paste the Smartsupp code

Copy your Smartsupp chat code from the Smartsupp dashboardSettingsChat boxChat code. Paste the entire code into the Web Extras field (head or body section) in Lightspeed and save your changes.

Verify the installation

Open your Lightspeed store in a new browser tab and refresh the page. The Smartsupp chat widget should appear in the corner of your store. Then sign in to the Smartsupp dashboard to start chatting with visitors.

Tip: If the chat widget doesn't appear, clear your browser cache or open the store in incognito mode. Make sure you saved the code in the right Web Extras field. Still nothing? See Why don't I see the chat on my website?
