Smartsupp gives you several ways to get your conversation data out — into a CRM, a help desk, or any other system. This article covers each option, from a quick PDF of a single chat to a full API export.

Export a conversation to PDF
To save a single conversation from your history, open it and click the Export to PDF button. This option is available on every plan.
Export history as XML
Available in: the EXPERT package (Legacy: PRO).
You can export your conversation history in XML format. Open the Dashboard, go to the Resolved conversations tab, and click the export button to export the full history. To export a specific period, click the calendar icon, choose your date range, and then click export. When the export is ready, it's sent to the email address you use to log in to the Dashboard.
Email transcripts to your system
Available in: the EXPERT package (Legacy: PRO).
If your CRM or help desk has an associated email address, we can forward every newly finished chat conversation — including visitor info — to that address automatically. Just send us the email address where the conversations should go, and we'll set it up.
API export
Available in: the EXPERT package (Legacy: PRO).
For full control, export the raw data to your server and process it with your own script — for example, filtering out email addresses to handle separately — then import the result into your system. This requires some development on your side (a few hours of work for a developer). Share this link with your developers:
