Mira AI Skills: teach your AI agent to handle specific situations

Turn on ready-made skills so Mira AI knows how to handle situations specific to your business.

Written by Michal Jindra

Skills are ready-made extensions that teach Mira AI how to handle specific situations in your business, for example confirming which part actually fits a customer's car, or handling cake orders, allergens and dietary needs in a bakery. You turn them on in your AI agent under Skills. Nothing changes until you turn a skill on.

🧪 Beta: Skills are currently in beta. We're watching how they're used and will keep improving them based on your feedback.

We've broken the article into a few sections:

What are skills?

Each skill is a set of instructions prepared by our team for a typical situation or type of business, such as accommodation, accounting services or a bike shop. Every skill has a name, a short description and one or more categories, so you can quickly see what it does.

Skills don't create a new assistant. They extend your existing Mira AI, and all the skills you turn on work together to adjust how Mira answers your customers.

Turn a skill on or off

1. Go to AI Assistants, open your AI agent and click Skills in the left menu.

2. Find the skill you need. Type into Search…, or click All and choose Enabled, Disabled or a category, for example Food & Hospitality.

3. Click the arrow next to a skill to open its detail. Under Full description you can see exactly what your AI agent will ask and do.

4. Turn on the switch next to the skill, in the list or in the detail. The counter X / Y skills enabled shows how many skills are on.

5. Click Publish changes. Until you publish, the AI agent shows Draft changes.

To turn a skill off, use the same switch and publish the change again.

💡 Tip: The Overview of your AI agent shows how many skills are enabled.

How many skills can I turn on?

You can turn on up to 6 skills at the same time for each AI agent. Skills are available to all customers, and the counter next to the search (X / Y skills enabled) shows how many you're using.

When you reach the limit, you'll see Limit reached and you can't turn on another skill. Turn off one you no longer need, or contact us if you need more.

Try skills in the Playground

The Playground on the right lets you try out how the skills you've turned on change your AI agent's answers. If no skill is on, it shows No skill selected, and testing unlocks once a skill is turned on.

Your AI agent also needs at least one knowledge source, a website or text content, before you can test and publish it.
