Mira AI Welcome Message greets your website visitors automatically — either with an AI-generated message that adapts to your brand, or with a custom greeting you write yourself. No need to combine it with the AI chatbot, you can use it on its own to break the ice with every new visitor.

Before you start

A few things worth knowing before you turn on the Welcome Message.

Where it lives: the Welcome Message is configured inside the AI Builder, alongside your AI chatbot settings.
Two flavors: let the AI generate the greeting from your Knowledge Base & Behavior settings, or write your own custom message.
Standalone: you can use the Welcome Message even without enabling the full AI chatbot.
Multilingual: set a default language and let Smartsupp auto-translate the greeting based on the visitor's location.

Set up the Welcome Message

Three short steps from off to live.

Step 1 — Enable the Welcome Message

Open the AI Builder and select one of your AI chatbots. Go to the Welcome Message tab and toggle the AI Welcome Message switch on. Then choose the message type:

AI-generated Welcome Message (A) — adapts to the tone you've set, using your Knowledge Base and Behavior settings. Each greeting may vary slightly.
Custom Welcome Message (B) — write your own greeting in the text area below.

Step 2 — Language settings

Pick a default language for the greeting. Optionally enable Translate Welcome Message so Smartsupp automatically adapts the language based on each visitor's location.

Step 3 — Advanced settings & publish

In Advanced settings, define when the Welcome Message appears. By default it shows after the visitor has been on your site for the time you choose — you can adjust the delay or change the trigger to fit your audience.
