E-mail integration

How seamless and efficient would it be to have one dashboard for all incoming messages, e-mails and replies? Let us introduce our brand new integration with you email…

Beta version

The current version of the email integration feature is in Beta testing and it's free to use. The functionality of the integration can be limited due to the Beta phase. Any feedback on this feature would be highly appreciated.

Once the Beta phase ends, limits may be introduced.

 

E-mail integration

This integration is easy to set up with any e-mail box provider. You will only need your email login and password (check the details below).

Email integration is available for all your active agents and allows you to integrate with multiple email providers simultaneously. You can see which email address the visitor contacted and which email address you are replying from.

Every agent can see an email subject, as well as attach and receive files.

Each new email creates a new conversation in Smartsupp, even if the email address already has an active conversation. Replies sent to an existing email conversation are added to the thread within a single Smartsupp conversation. The email integration manages email reply history within the thread.

Your emails will start syncing from the moment of integration. However, previously received emails will not be synced into the Smartsupp inbox.

 

How to integrate your email box?

Go to the Integrations tab and select “Connect” button next to e-mail integration. You can also use the link in the inbox leading to the Integrations tab.

Enter your email address and select a provider. In the next step, you will enter your email login and password (you can also optionally enter a Sender name) and confirm by clicking the "Complete" button.

The authentication is secure—your credentials are neither visible nor saved by Smartsupp.


Other email box providers

If you have an email account from another provider and want to integrate it, you will need SMTP/IMAP. This information is publicly available for every email provider, and you can easily find it on their website or by contacting their support. To set up the integration, go to the Integrations tab and click the "Connect" button next to Email Integration. You can also connect your email account directly from the Smartsupp inbox.

In the first step, enter your email address and select "Other provider" from the list. Then, fill in the SMTP and IMAP details, click "Continue", and enter your email login and password.
